Seneca Partners EIS Portfolio Service has returned £2.8million to investors following the takeover of Collagen Solutions Plc, an AIM listed holding specialising in medical grade collagen components.  The exit has been achieved three and a half years after Seneca’s investment into Collagen and brings the total number of full or partial exits within the EIS portfolio to 21.

Ingenious has invested £787,000 in Igloo Vision, the Shropshire-based immersive software and technology company that can take any digital content and put it into a shared immersive space. The funding will be used to continue the build-out of Igloo’s software suite and accelerate the production of its recently launched Igloo Immersive Media Player.

Foresight Group and Williams Advanced Engineering have announced an investment of £1.05m into AudioScenic, which is developing immersive 3D audio technology for loudspeaker systems that will revolutionise the way users experience sound. 

The funding from the Foresight Williams Technology EIS and VCT funds is part of a £1.58m funding round alongside existing investor IP Group, which will enable the company to further commercialise its products and hire additional staff.

The Calculus Creative Content EIS Fund has invested in Home Team, a production company founded by Dominic Buchanan and Bennett McGhee. HOME TEAM will operate in the international film & television space, with a focus on the development and production of high-end, wholly inclusive feature films and television series. 

Led by producers Dominic Buchanan (BAFTA, Royal Television Society and Peabody Award-winning The End of The F***ing World) and Bennett McGhee (Berlin film Festival’s 2020 FRIPRESCI winner, Mogul Mowgli), Home Team’s intention is to identify and develop under-represented creatives and nurture exciting voices- primarily, but not restricted to, filmmakers of colour and women filmmakers of all ethnicities, through interactive as well as traditional film and TV platforms. 

The UK Creative Content EIS Fund has invested in Maven Screen Media, a leading media and entertainment development and production company, founded by experienced producers Celine Rattray and Trudie Styler, it was announced by the Fund’s manager Calculus Capital, and Stargrove Pictures, its media adviser. The founders have established track records for producing award-winning, commercially successful films with worldwide reach and top-tier talent attached. 

Foresight Group, a leading independent infrastructure and private equity investment manager, and Williams Advanced Engineering has announced a £500,000 follow-on investment from Foresight Williams Technology EIS Fund into Salvalco, to support the development of aerosol valves that use ecologically sustainable propellants.  Overall, the Fund has now invested £3.2 million into Salvalco, following the original investment in April 2018.
