Nova Pangaea Technologies, the Teesside-based Clean Tech business, has raised £5.25m in a funding round led by Mercia Asset Management Plc, Par Equity and NPIF – Mercia Equity Finance, which is managed by Mercia and is part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF), with private investors also participating.

Round 4 of the Green Angel Syndicate EIS & SEIS Climate Change Fund opened on Friday 1st July and closed on 22nd September, having exceeded its minimum funding target by 50%. The round was evenly split between GAS members and non-members, and 45% of investors had invested in one or more previous rounds of the Climate Change Fund.

Machine learning-led decarbonisation platform Ecolibrium has today launched its revolutionary sustainability solution in the UK, as the race to reduce carbon emissions accelerates across the built environment.
Relocating its global headquarters to London, Ecolibrium has raised $5m in a pre-Series A funding round as it looks to expand its international footprint to the UK. Green Angel Syndicate, the UK's largest network of specialist investors fighting climate change, has invested in a £3.8m investment round into Swytch.The funding will be used to launch Swytch's brand new product: the world's first pocket-sized eBike battery, which converts any bicycle into an electric bike.
The new Swytch eBike conversion kit features a pocket-sized battery (the "Power Pack") which is similar in size to a large smart-phone. The battery provides 250W of power and enough range for your daily commute, whilst weighing only 700g (1.5lb) and can be recharged in around 1 hour.

Offgrid.Finance, Treeconomy and Deep.Meta are the latest UK-founded start-ups being supported to achieve Climate VC’s aim of removing a gigatonne of CO2e from global emissions through investments in high-potential, high-impact, climate-focussed businesses.

Climate change investor, Climate VC has launched to exert a gigatonne scale impact on climate change in the next decade and influence a sea change in the way the venture capital sector approaches climate investing. The fund has a number of high profile angel backers including serial founder investor Doug Scott.
Investing in start-ups throughout the UK, Climate VC is a specialist climate tech investor focused on finding and backing climate change start-ups that might have been overlooked by other VCs. A technology company that specialises in developing software for the renewables industry has secured new investment to accelerate its product development.
Bristol-based Sennen has raised £780,000 equity funding from a range of new and existing investors. They include investment firms Caygan Capital, Future Play and Vala Capital as well as a number of private individuals.
Around £100,000 of the total investment came through the crowdfunding platform Seedrs.
