Treefera, a pioneering AI-powered data platform that revolutionizes forest data and conservation, has closed a $2.2 million pre-Seed funding round, led by Concept Ventures. Treefera’s transformative platform aims to reshape the carbon offset market, addressing a sector predicted to reach $250 billion by 2050. The round saw participation from esteemed investors including Twin Path Ventures, January Ventures, and Greg Lavender, CTO of Intel, as an Angel investor.

British cybersecurity company Goldilock has secured investment and support from members of two well-known investor groups – Harvard Business School Alumni Angels of GreaterNY (HBSAANY) and New York Angels (NYA). Waterspring Ventures, an award-winning early-stage venture capital firm based in Wales, has made its first investment into Operati Limited, which has built the first Software as a Service (SaaS) estimating solution of its kind for the SME market.

Waterspring Ventures is investing £280k of its first tranche into the business. It has partnered with The Development Bank of Wales for the deal, which is investing £150k from the Technology Seed Fund, whilst the founders of Operati Limited have also invested £50k.

Oxford Innovation Finance’s Angel Network (OION) has invested in the latest funding round for Albotherm, the climate tech company developing a temperature regulating coating for glass surfaces.

Using polymer chemistry that can switch between opaque and transparent, Albotherm has developed a low carbon cooling coating for glass surfaces. The reversible coating provides shade in high temperatures and allows sunlight through in lower temperatures. Its innovative technology has a significant impact as a net zero approach to temperature regulation, with the potential to replace energy intensive cooling systems.

With its innovative marketplace, logistics stack and embedded payments and finance system, Toolbox is revolutionising the way consumers approach bathroom renovations.

Oxi-Tech, a company that has developed ground-breaking, clean-in-place disinfectant technology using water and electricity, has received the largest investment from Henley Business Angels to date, contributing towards a funding round of £1m.
